What is so refreshing for a hot summer? Yes, ice cream! While enjoying the summer, don’t forget to greet your beloved friends with ice cream summer card. Send them warm greeting and nice words so that their summer will be nicer. Try this following art project to make one!
- Art paper in different colors and patterns
- Ice cream stick
- Colorful ribbon
- A pair of scissors
- A pair of compasses
- Ice cream template
To begin with, prepare all the supplies and tools you need for this project. Then grab an art paper and your ice cream template. In this example a plain pink art paper is used to draw an ice cream silhouette on. Draw it using a pencil. Draw the silhouette nicely. The number of silhouettes you need to make depends on how many cards you want to make.
Next, draw another element of the ice cream on another art paper. In the example, the art paper used to draw the silhouette is the dotted pink art paper and the ice cream template used is the bitten/eaten ice cream. Draw the silhouette using your pencil. The number of silhouettes you need to make depends on how many cards you want to make. So, adjust accordingly.
Then grab a pair of scissors and start cutting out the both ice cream silhouettes you made in step 1 and 2. Cut the papers neatly so that the final result of the art is nice. After cutting the ice cream silhouettes, you can erase any pencil stain left on the cut outs.
It is now the time to make the ice cream! Get your ice cream sticks and glue. Glue an ice cream stick on every ice cream cut out using the glue. Remember not to use excessive amount of glue so that you will not leave any glue stain later on the paper. Also, make sure that the glue is strong enough to stick the glue to the paper.
Now is the time to put the details of the ice cream. Get the cut out of the ice creams you made from the dotted pink art paper and stick it on the ice cream cut outs you made from the plain pink art paper using glue. Make sure you glue those papers evenly.
Next get your ribbon and cut it to your desired length. Then glue the ribbon on the ice cream cut out. After that, tie the ribbon up. Do this step to every ice cream cut out you make. You can use different ribbons for every ice cream cut out you made.
Now grab two different kinds of art papers. In this example, squared yellow and plain green art papers are used. Make a big circle cut out from the square yellow are paper. Then make smaller circle cut out from the plain green art paper. After that, stick the both papers together using glue. Finally, stick the ice creams on those circle cut outs nicely.
Your ice cream summer card is done now. You can add other details on the card as you like. You can either use another art paper to add another decoration or simply use decorative pens to do it.
Now that your ice cream summer card is finished, you can ship it out to those you love! You can even write some cheerful words on the card before sending it. Also, add other details to make the card personalized. So, to whom will you ship it out?
